Confession time! I *may* nerd out a little when it Confession time! I *may* nerd out a little when it comes to planning a vacation. When you are trying to survive a Minnesota winter, daydreaming about a warm place is one of the best ways to get yourself to spring. 😎 We have a trip planned for Florida in the near future. I wouldn't say I plan everything to a tee but I need to have a "loose" plan. Let me remind you that I am an enneagram 6. Going on a trip without any plan is just NOT an option for people like me. 😂 I have to say besides the warmth, the best part about going on vacation is being able to (mostly) unplug from daily life obligations, social media, emails, etc. Whenever I get home, I feel so refreshed and energized and have newly found space for new business ideas. Understandably, not everyone gets to go on a vacation. But here’s my soap box. As a business owner, I believe it’s super important to find a way to check out from time to time, even if that means taking a long weekend for a staycation. Are you able to travel and turn off work for a while? One could call me a "crazy chicken lady" lately. I One could call me a "crazy chicken lady" lately. I *might* be bingeing YouTube videos on care for CHICKENS in my free time! 😮 Sitting at my son's hockey practice, I overheard a neighbor telling someone they were giving away their chicken coop for free. I barely even thought twice before I blurted out that I would take it. Trust me though, I've thought about getting chickens for years so it wasn't as impulsive as it sounds. 😚 I skipped one important step— getting my husband on board. So I went home, proposed my chicken plan to him, and ummm... he didn't say no. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I explained to him that I didn’t just want chickens for the eggs but because it's a hobby and it's MY hobby. It dawned on me that over the years of motherhood, I've given up lots of old hobbies without even realizing it. I'm sure I can't be the only one who has gotten so busy with daily mom life and running a business that their own personal hobbies just sort of got put on the side burner. But times are changing. Comment below what one you think is the lie— I’ll be sure to reply! But here are ACTUAL truths about me. 👉🏻 I’m Abby! 👋🏻 I met my husband in high school and we’ve been two-peas-in-a-pod ever since. We are blessed with two sweet boys who I homeschool— we are "unsocialized weirdos". Haha! 😜 Minnesota is the place I’ve always called home, although, I am ready to say peace out for the rest of the winter. But I’ll hang in there— our summers are the best! ☀️ Interesting fact ... I am also an RN with a strong passion for natural living and holistic wellness! Burnt out working in a hospital and wishing to spend more time with my boys, my business was born. What a ride this freelance journey has been. There have been so many ups (and of course, the occasional down) but it's worth it and it’s truly helped me become a better, stronger person. 💪🏻 There is a tremendous need for keeping people OUT of hospitals! I'm here to help holistic entrepreneurs reach more people who need their help whether it's reducing environmental toxins, balancing hormones, managing stress levels, or eating REAL food... and so much more!
